Privacy Policy
The short version: Through collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Everything you write and every block you complete stays on your device. We never see it.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers the Through app for iPhone and Apple Watch (“the app,” “we,” “us”), published by Groovio s.r.o. It explains what the app does — and, more importantly, what it deliberately does not do — with your information.
2. What we collect
Nothing. Through is designed to be private by absence rather than by promise. Specifically:
- We do not require an account or any sign-up.
- We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any personal identifier.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or third-party SDKs that profile you.
- We do not collect, transmit, or store your data on any server. There is no server.
This is reflected in the app's App Store privacy label: “Data Not Collected.”
3. Your data stays on your device
The sentences you write (your intents), the blocks you complete, your yes/no confirmations, your completion history, and your settings are stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage. They are not uploaded anywhere. If you use iCloud device backup, that data may be included in your own encrypted Apple backup, which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy — not by us.
4. Screen Time & app blocking (Through Pro)
If you choose to block distracting apps, Through uses Apple's Family Controls / Screen Time framework. The list of apps you choose to mute is handled entirely on-device by iOS through Apple's privacy-preserving tokens. We never receive, see, or store which apps you block. This information does not leave your device.
5. Siri, Focus modes & widgets (Through Pro)
If you start a focus hands-free with Siri, auto-start from a Focus mode, or show your intent on the Lock Screen or Apple Watch, these features run through Apple's system frameworks on your device. They do not send your data to us.
6. Notifications
Through can send you local notifications (for example, when a block ends, or to gently remind you of your intent). These are scheduled and delivered on your device. They are not push notifications from a server and contain no data we collect.
7. Purchases
Through Pro is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your payment details. Apple processes the transaction; see Apple's Privacy Policy for how Apple handles purchase information.
8. Children
Through does not collect personal information from anyone, including children, and is suitable for general audiences.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, we will update the date at the top and post the new version at this address. Because the app collects nothing, we expect changes to be rare.
